Aurora Australis

The auroral displays created by the sun's energy entering our atmosphere at high speed can sometimes be seen at latitude 41 degrees south. The Australasian Telephone Aurora Alert network is triggered at such times, to enable as many people as possible to see and image the display from their location.

Aurora Australis.

Please report all observations of this beautiful sky event to
Bob Evans, Director RASNZ Solar and Aurora Section.

"I would value them for the RASNZ Aurora & Solar Section's
records. Date and time at least but any description would
increase the value of the reports significantly. "
