All these images were made using the following equipment at the WAS Cretney observatory.
Telescope: Officina Stellare RiFast 400
Camera: QHYCCD QHY600 Pro M
Mount: 10Micron GM3000 HPS
The Cretney observatory is located at StarField near Martinborough, in the Wairarapa Dark Sky Reserve. It is completely remote and operated via the internet.
The observatory is available for use by all Wellington Astronomy Society members. There is a learning curve. We are currently putting together a training course for interested members to learn how to use it.
